The Roanoke college team of Natalie Wilkinson, Randall Pittman, and Thomas Lux competed in this year's Mercer Spring Programming competition, placing a respectable eighth out of 35 teams.

Research Students Win Competition

Several Roanoke College students presented their research from the Summer of 2013 during the Student Research Competition at the CCSC South-eastern regional conference. Maya Shende, a Sophomore Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science major placed second overall. The team of Thomas Lux and Randall Pittman, both Sophomores from the Computer Science department, placed first overall.

Roanoke Programming Team Places Third

Two teams of Students from Roanoke College competed in the Consortium of Computing Science in Colleges (CCSC) South-eastern regional programming competition in November. The Team of Sophomores, consisting of Thomas Lux, Randall Pittman, Maya Shende, and Natalie Wilkinson placed 3rd overall at the competition.
