Internet Summer Camp
July 7, 1997 -- July 11, 1997
The Computer Science department ran a computer camp for high school
students in July 1997. The main
topics of the camp were creating Web
pages with HTML and enhancing Web pages using Java.
All Java development was done using Microsoft's Visual J++. Microsoft
donated copies of Visual J++ for all the participants.
At the end of the camp, there was a programming contest. Microsoft
donated the prizes for the winners of the contest.
Our programming contest winners were Alexander LoCascio and
Ian Conner. Congratulations!!
The camp was made possible due to the efforts of the Office of
Community Programs and Special
Programs at Roanoke College. Please call (540) 375-2323 for more
